What Vision 2025 websites says:

http://www.vision2025.info/category.php?category=osagetrail

Summary Update
With construction of the Trail crossing at 66th Street North now complete, the Trail is essentially complete from approximately 61st Street to Highway 20 in Skiatook. The overall required project completion date has been extended to April 3, 2006 to allow for additional work at the detention pond at 56th Street North (a “4 to Fix” the County project).

Background:
Vision 2025 funds will construct a multiuse trail along what was previously known as the Osage Railroad in Tulsa and Osage Counties, providing opportunities for transportation, recreation and exercise. The trail will be a scenic and safe connection for trail users traveling north from the existing trail (OSU-Tulsa campus to 56th Street North) to highway 20 in central Skiatook with recreational and fitness opportunities along the way.

Presently, there is no connection between downtown Tulsa and destinations to the north, other than by automobile. Once the Osage Prairie Trail is complete, this project will connect and serve several important facilities; seven schools (Cherokee Elementary, Greely Elementary, Sperry Public Schools, Newman Middle, Skiatook High, Marrs Elementary, and Central Elementary), three parks (Vining Park, Taylor County Park and Zink Park), and one airport (Skiatook Airport). All of these facilities are located within one mile of the trail. To assure user safety and comfort, the trail amenities planned for the Osage Prairie Trail include fencing, bollards, hand rails, benches, picnic tables, trash receptacles, bike racks, signage, drinking fountains, equestrian facilities and parking.
