Percy A. Harvey View Service Information PERCY A. HARVEY departed this life January 26, 2008. P. A. `Pretty Amazing` Harvey was born in Arkansas September 15, 1908 to Fletcher W. Harvey and Annie Menifee Harvey. With an always positive attitude and a great sense of humor, he lived a long, active and happy life surrounded by his friends. A life long sports enthusiast, Percy played semi-pro baseball and basketball in his youth. At 65 his wife gave him a ping-pong table for Christmas and he found a new sports love. Percy was the oldest competitor in the Sooner State games and took home a medal every year he participated. He was also a Senior Olympic Table Tennis Gold Medalist 1991 - 1996. His god-daughter `angel daughter` `china doll`, Rong Lillieroos, was both coach and family motivating him through the competitions to the Winner’s Ring and bringing him great happiness in his later life. Percy’s very special friends and care givers for many years were Tony Murphy, Suzanne Crews, and Wally Collins. Percy was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Darleen Short Harvey; his brothers, Bascomb Harvey, O. Q. Harvey and Fletcher Harvey, Jr.; and his sisters, Ruby James Harvey and Mary Katherine Larimer. He is survived by his god-daughter, Rong Lillieroos and husband Christian Lillieroos; his sister, Wilmina Bybee; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and even more friends. Percy, you have touched our lives. We will love you and miss you forever!!! Services will be at Mercer-Adams Chapel, 3925 N. Asbury, Bethany, Oklahoma on Friday, February 1, 2008 at 11:00 A.M.. Viewing will be Wednesday and Thursday, January 28 and 29, 2008.
